"The Developer" is a Samsung musical short centered around a mysterious super star who abandons the trappings of his fame and instead, uses his influence, and his Samsung Note 3, to accomplish something much more meaningful.
A musical short film, created to tell the modern version of one of the most charming and universal stories known to man, boy meets girl with the help of Samsung's GALAXY S4 technology.
Instead of simply making a film to demo the tech, we wanted to leverage the behavior of AllShare by live editing / DJing a film on stage using nothing but the AllSharing technology itself to instantly stream content from 26 mobile devices to 26 connected displays. The result was more than a singular event or film, it was an introduction to entirely new behaviour.
The resulting short gave a human face and behavior to the allShare technology.
Here is the case study that'll give you a taste of the two year long project of flipping the advertising model of one of the world's most established brands from talking at consumers to talking with them in a way that didn't just move product, but moved pop culture.
We started the entire project by launching the Make It Possible Project, where we asked the social network to tell us what they dreamed of making possible in their lives and then picked the most popular to help bring into reality. Going forward, Coke Zero will pick one project every month from the collective to blow out, basically creating a viral movement machine.
Our global TVC grow out of our grassroots project, showing the real world story and struggle of the first Make It Possible Project, adding not only swag to the Coke Zero brand but also some much needed authenticity.
The Make It Possible Project was so much more than a brand finding authenticity, it was about the courage of a single kid looking for his dream. Here is the real story behind the project, the story of KnuckleHead.
The project isn't just an ad or a collection of human stories, it is a Coke sized soapbox that users can leverage in order to launch a passion... in KnuckleHead's case, it was to end up with a music video featuring his dance and choreography.
